On October 4, we invite you to join us for an evening to remember, where great music meets a greater mission. The Mayors’ Bash is more than a celebration—it’s a call to action for our community to invest in the next generation through Literacy 2.0. This year's event features “The Boys of Summer”, live under the stars at Blast 825 in Orcutt.
Why Sponsor? Your support fuels:
Books in every home.
Parents are empowered with knowledge.
Children with real savings for real futures.
It’s an investment in literacy, economic mobility, and dignity—and a legacy we will all be proud of.
In addition to financial support, in-kind sponsorships play a vital role in making the Mayors Bash a memorable experience. Donations of wine, beverages, auction items, and event essentials help us create an evening that not only celebrates our mission but also showcases the generosity and spirit of our community. If your business can contribute in this way, we’d love to recognize your support and feature your brand at the event.
But the real headline isn’t the band—it’s the future we’re building together.
From Cradle to Cap & Gown - Imagine this:
A baby born this month at Marian Regional or Lompoc Valley Medical Centers is enrolled in all three Literacy 2.0 programs. Within weeks, books from the Imagination Library begin arriving at their home. Their parents start receiving weekly texts from Ready4K & Beyond, offering simple, science-backed tips to turn daily routines into powerful learning moments.
Within the first six months, the child is enrolled in the Bright Futures Fund—a custodial savings account designed to build long-term opportunities. Parents are engaged early and encouraged to begin making regular deposits, supported by community incentives and a shared vision for their child’s future.
By age 6, the child joins United Way’s Money School, featuring beloved financial literacy character Sammy Rabbit. Together with their parents, they continue to make regular savings deposits and begin learning age-appropriate financial skills, empowering the whole family to understand the value of saving, planning, and dreaming ahead. The Money School is just the beginning—grade-level financial literacy programs are being developed to follow children from first grade through graduation, building lifelong money habits at every step.
By the time this child reaches high school, they won’t just be prepared to graduate, they’ll be ready to thrive.
Now imagine this…(continued back side)
By the year 2030, your support will have helped make the following a reality:
- 15,000 children across Northern Santa Barbara County enrolled in the Imagination Library, receiving books in the mail every month from birth to age five
- 15,000+ parents and caregivers engaged in the Ready4K & Beyond parent-powered program, turning everyday moments into lifelong learning
- 7,500 children with active savings accounts through the Bright Futures Fund, CalKIDS, and the Today for Tomorrow Money School Challenge—laying the foundation for education, financial stability, and generational opportunity
It’s not just a dream, it’s a plan. And it starts with partners like you.
That’s what your sponsorship makes possible.
Sponsorship Benefits Include:
- VIP access and reserved seating at the Mayors’ Bash
- Recognition before and during the concert
- Year-round visibility as a champion for literacy and local youth

Few will have the greatness to affect real community change, but when we each do a little to help guide the changes we need, those acts will ultimately create better communities (E.T.).
