About Us

In 1946, a Cal Poly student had a dream of publishing a weekly newspaper and owning a commercial printing company. His desire to study print led him to San Luis Obispo. In collaboration with the San Luis Obispo community, he locates a print shop and names it Blake Printery. As a result, his son has taken over the management of Blake Printery and has been responsible for reintroducing a print shop to the market. Over the years, we have developed 13 different companies and employed over 2000 individuals. A former pressman of Poor Richard's Press became the new owner of Poor Richard's Press. Since 1946, we have provided local communities with high-quality marketing collateral. Now, Poor Richard's Press offers a wide range of services, including design, mail, apparel, web, and promotional products. With the help of Poor Richard's Press, one logo serves endless possibilities.
