The Santa Maria Valley Industry Education Council and the Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce Visitors and Convention Bureau are proud to sponsor the annual Business Appreciation luncheon.  The event reflects the support given to our schools by so many local businesses who give so much to encourage student achievement and success.   All these companies, large and small, inspire others to contribute towards a better community for everyone.

Companies, nonprofit agencies and individuals provide generous support to schools on a daily basis, providing them with surplus resources, awards and incentives for students plus food for school activities.  In addition to those donations, many business leaders share their expertise and donate generous amounts of time by participating in career days and the Principal For a Day program.  All these activities help teachers give students the skills needed for future success.

The Partnerships Lead to Success luncheon will also include the distribution of computers through the Computer Connections program, a joint venture between the Industry Education Council and the Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce.  So far, almost 150 families have received new computer packages through the program for needy children.
